FFL transfers

Federal law requires all firearms to be shipped to a licensed dealer. We are happy to provide this service for you!

 

LOOKING TO PURCHASE A firearm from another store/seller?

• Upon completion of your purchase, please call or stop into the store to give us the necessary information we need to process your transfer upon arrival.

     Information we'll need from you (the buyer/receiver):

          • Your (the person receiving the firearm) first & last name, legal address, phone number, email (if applicable)

          • The name/business name & contact info (phone number, address, email, etc.) of the transferring party

          • The firearm(s) to be received

     Information the seller needs to send WITH the firearm:

          • A copy of their FFL, if they are a dealer, or an enlarged and legible copy of their driver’s license

          • The seller's contact information (first & last name, legal address, phone number, email)

          • The buyer's/receiver's contact information (first & last name, legal address, phone number, email) *We cannot and will not transfer the firearm to anyone other than the person listed with the firearm transfer.

*Failing to provide this information before the firearm shows up is considered a blind transfer. Blind transfers can and will be charged more than the price of a non-blind transfer. If a blind transfer arrives and we are unable to put the firearm onto our books because there is a lack of documentation provided with the shipment, we will return the firearm directly to the sender on the third day of not receiving proper documentation. There is no exception to this rule as it is a legal obligation on our end.

 

• Once your firearm arrives, we will give you a call to let you know when it is ready to be picked up! Please keep in mind that just because your tracking information may say your firearm was delivered to our store, doesn't mean it's quite ready to be picked up. We still have required paperwork on our end to do and will be sure to call you as soon as we're all set for you to pick it up!

Need to send out a firearm?

• Upon completion of your purchase, please call or stop into the store to give us the necessary information we need to process your transfer upon arrival.

     What to bring along:

          • Any and all parts needing to be shipped. Note: We cannot accept sealed packages - we will properly inspect and seal prior to shipping. You may provide a shipping box if you'd like, or we'd be happy to provide one for you.

          • **Ammunition CANNOT and WILL NOT be shipped with a firearm. Please clear ALL ammunition from the firearm and box/bag PRIOR to bringing it into our store.**

          • Your driver's license / state photo ID

          • Information for the transferee (First & Last name, legal address, phone number, email)

          • Information for the FFL/gun store being shipped to (Business name, address, phone number)

DEALERS

To request a copy of our FFL for the purpose of transferring a firearm to our store, please email ffl@hesselingandsons.com and include a copy of your FFL along with the request.

A copy of the FFL from the sender must be sent WITH the firearm. Please send the customer information (First & Last name, legal address, phone number, & email).
