Grip tape and skaters tape wear out, peel and gum up. Gun Grit® does not.

Our Guarantee
Hesseling Precision™ guarantees that our coating will not crack or fade for the lifetime that you own your firearm. If your Gun Grit® coating were to experience either of these issues, then we will recoat it free of charge. We cover the shipping back to you. Please contact us first before shipping us your item so we can give you an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) and to access if the issue is covered under our guarantee.
Our guarantee does not cover wear and tear to the firearm’s finish. Using any firearm subjects it to the environment where friction cannot be avoided which will cause wear and tear. This includes firearm finishes.
Thank you for purchasing this firearm that has our Gun Grit® coating. We look forward to helping you answer any questions you might have about it. ALWAYS be safe and responsible when handling firearms by following the safety rules. Keep this firearm out of reach of children and locked when unattended because firearms can create curiosity.
Holsters
Avoid the use of holsters that are hard with tighter fits, or that have aggressive surfaces (e.g.,
plastic/Kydex). Even though these can be used they will accelerate the wear and tear on any firearm finish.
Wear and tear are not covered under our guarantee. Special care should always be taken when holstering a firearm – for safety and Gun Grit® coating purposes.
Cleaning Your Gun Grit® Coating

Always ensure through visual and physical inspections that the firearm is clear of ammunition before cleaning.

Do not use harsh solvents, ultrasonic cleaners, acetone, cleaners containing harsh acids or bases, lacquer or paint thinner, mineral spirits, or similar. If in doubt, please contact us at (567) 712-6836 or email us at glitter@glittergunz.com.

Use a soft toothbrush on the Gun Grit® coating.

Non-chlorinated brake cleaner may be used periodically for heavy dirt and powder residue buildup on the Gun Grit® coating. It can be sprayed directly on the surface, brush with a soft toothbrush, and wipe clean with a lint-free cloth. Be sure to use in a well-ventilated area and follow the safety guidelines and instructions on the can.

Clean and lubricate the rest of your firearm according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Upgrade Information
Your firearm will experience wear and tear on all its parts through the course of your ownership to
include its finish. We offer a re-coating service with Certificate of Authenticity.
This service is very simple!
Just send us your firearm’s slide assembly, barrel, and recoil spring along with the original Certificate of
Authenticity. We will apply a brand new Gun Grit® coating to your slide for only $99 (plus sales tax, if applicable).
We will return your slide and all parts free of charge once it is finished along with a new Certificate of Authenticity. You can use this service as many times as you like for as long as you retain the Certificate of Authenticity and the firearm.
This service would also apply to any new owner of this firearm if you were to sell it. They need to retain the Certificate of Authenticity to utilize this service.
This service only applies to the firearm’s slide.
The Four Firearm Safety Rules to Live by
1. Every gun is considered to be loaded. Treat them as such!
2. Always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire the firearm.
3. Always know your target and what is beyond it.
4. Do not point your firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot.
